Rogers is a city located in northwestern Arkansas. The city was named in honor of Captain Charles Warrington Rogers who was vice president and general manager of the St. Louis-San Francisco Railroad, also known as the Frisco Railroad. When the Frisco Railroad arrived in 1881 the town was established, naming itself after Captain Rogers. The city was the site of the first Wal-Mart, the world's largest retailer. Police: Rogers Men Ran Marijuana Operation Near School

Rogers Man Pleads Guilty To Running Illegal Gambling Ring

A Rogers man pleaded guilty Monday to running an illegal gambling ring from his home for at least 15 years that totaled more than $1 million in bets on football and basketball games. Robert Enos Rogers, 72, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Fayetteville to one count of operating an illegal gambling business.
